Why an ordinary convector won’t do
Moisture and chlorinated vapours are aggressive to metal: ordinary steel corrodes in such an environment, rust appears, and the unit loses both looks and lifespan. That’s why pools and wet areas need convectors in a moisture-resistant design.
Stainless steel is a must
The right solution is a stainless-steel casing and heat exchanger. At Heatmann these are the Line Pool (natural convection) and Line Fan Pool (fan-assisted) versions. They’re built for humid environments and last where ordinary units can’t cope.
Fighting condensation on glazing
Pools have a lot of panoramic glazing, and the main issue is condensation: warm humid air settles on cold panes, the glass “weeps”, and frames suffer over time. A trench convector along the glazing creates a warm air curtain, heats the glass surface and stops condensation forming. That’s the key reason pools use trench convectors along the window line.
Natural or fan-assisted for a pool
Pools have high heat loss (large glazing plus water evaporation), so extra output is often needed. If natural convection (Line Pool) isn’t enough, choose the fan-assisted Line Fan Pool: the same recess delivers several times more heat and dries the glass more actively.
